Movement

Exercise may be a curse word or an obsession for you, or anything in between.  Movement is an essential component of your recovery, but some tweaking may be required to find the right kind, intensity, duration and frequency.

What worked for you in the past may not work for you now, and intensity and duration may change frequently throughout your journey.  Be open to exploring what your body needs at different times and in different seasons.

Relaxation

Perhaps you’re in a season of exhaustion.  Now may be the time to practice self care and be kind to your body.  Try a few of these simple strategies:

  • Practice deep breathing several times throughout the day
  • Get a massage
  • Read a good book
  • Get together with friends or family; enjoy nourishing relationships
  • Watch a comedy and laugh (an under-rated form of exercise)
  • Take a hot Epsom salt bath, add a favorite essential oil
  • Play with your kids or pet
  • Relax with a cup of tea outside to increase your vitamin D levels
